Mothership Glass Is Landing Across Seas!
And It's Not in Europe!
A name that has become one of the most recognized in both the artistic and scientific functional glass realms, functional glass production company Mothership Glass, via co-founder Jake C's Instagram account, shocked the world about 3 months ago when they revealed whom they had in their newly opened mega glass studio.
All the way from Shizuoka-shi, Shizuoka, Japan, part of who is known in the industry as "Team Japan", world renowned glass artist Junichi Kojima had arrived at The Mothership in Bellingham Washington.
We can only speculate the type of epic collaborations that will be released between the two, as their collaborative works during that time are still yet to be seen by the world. What was revealed to the world though was that there was a brand new international bond formed in the glassblowing world between the team in Bellingham, Washington and that of Team Japan.
No one knew what this bond meant and how it would take the entire functional glass industry into the stratosphere (pun not intended) until this week.
Mothership Glass was proud to announced this week via social media that they will be having their first international drop in none other than the country of Japan.
Mothership Glass publicized this week via social media that the Japan Mothership Landing will be in Kōenji, "an area of Tokyo in Suginami ward, west of Shinjuku.", at the glass gallery Tsuki No Yashiro. (Shop information located at end of blog post).
It is indicated through Mothership's teaser posts that the ships have already landed in Japan but there is no indication of when exactly the drop will be.
We assume it will be very very soon...
